The name ‘Uovo’ comes from the word “egg” in Italian and represents the perfect house: a place of warmth and safety, but also one that gives energy and vibrancy to life. In creating Uovo Riads and Bed and Breakfasts we hope to offer you “the perfect home when it is not your own”.

Established in 2002 Uovo is a collection of Moroccan riads and dars (traditional Moroccan courtyard houses) and Italian boutique bed and breakfasts. Each property has been carefully renovated to preserve its traditional architectural features, but updated with contemporary design.

What they all have in common are generously sized bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, and luxurious living areas along with their own special something: a private Hammam perhaps, or a rooftop plunge pool? A clandestine restaurant serving local specialties? Or a neighbourhood spilling over with antiques stores?

Whether you are in hip Marrakech, cultural Fez or elegant Treviso each home has its own unique vibe ranging from high-end luxury to satisfyingly cosy, and its secrets are yours to discover.
